Who is this article for?Client Administrators
This article will explain the Role and access for each types of User on WorkRite. There are three different roles a user can have in WorkRite: Client Administrator, Client Manager and Student.
1. Client Administrator
Users with this role have the highest level of access within WorkRite.
Access to standard applications: E-Learning Courses. Full access to Management System and Reporting System
Note: You will only have access to the Agile Working Progress report if you have purchased Agile as part of your package.
Possible other applications depending on package: Course Builder, AMS, RMS (if enabled).
Client Administrators have the most access on a system and can complete tasks such as:
- Changing system background settings
- Activating and deactivating users
- Updating user details
- Changing user roles
- Sending out emails to users, such as the course training notifications
- View all training history for all users on the system
- Stop reminders that have been sent in error to users
- Unlock users profiles if they have become locked due to sign in issues
- Run reports in the Reporting System
- Update the frequency with which automatic reminders are sent to users if training remains incomplete.
Client Administrators can also request for certain tasks to be carried out by a WorkRite Support Engineer including making certain changes to assessment questions, updating TNA options and enabling/disabling courses. You can request this by contacting support at support.workrite@ideagen.com or calling 01629 699400 and selecting option 6.
Client Administrators can access all users on their system regardless of their role or which groups they are in.
2. Client Manager
This role sits just below a Client Administrator with regards to what abilities they have on the system.
Access to standard applications: E-Learning Courses. Limited access to Management System and Reporting System.
Note: You will only have access to the Agile Working Progress report if you have purchased Agile as part of your package.
Possible other applications depending on package: Course Builder, AMS, RMS (if enabled).
A Client Manager has some limited access to the Management System and Reporting System. They will only be able to see users who are in groups that they are responsible for. They can enable/disable courses, update groups and can activate and deactivate users on the system, however, they will only be able to see the user if they are added to a group that they are responsible for.
A Client Manager cannot make changes to course or assessment set up, and if contacting our Support Team requesting to make a change to the system we will need to contact a Client Administrator to check any suggested changes are approved before actioning.
3. Student
This role is the most basic of the three and users with this role will have the least access on the system.
Access to standard applications: E-Learning Courses only
Possible other applications depending on package: Course Builder, AMS, RMS (if enabled).
When a Student logs into WorkRite they will generally only see the E-Learning Courses application and be able to only complete or view training courses assigned to them. Depending on which WorkRite package you have, you may also choose to give a Student access to other applications such as AMS, RMS or Course Builder, however, this access is given only at a Client Administrators discretion.
A Student may contact the Support Team to query course content, however, we will be unable to make any changes without confirming this with a Client Administrator.
