Who is this article for?All WorkRite users/Client Administrators and Client Managers
If you are not a Client Administrator or Client Manager for your WorkRite system, please jump to this section of the article which will explain all you need to know about Open Issues.
Client Administrators will be able to see Open Issues for all users on the system. Client Managers will be able to see Open Issues for users in groups they are responsible for.
When users complete an assessment at the end of a course (AssessRite, AssessRite 3.0 or Agile Working) they are given the opportunity to raise any issues with a particular part of their workstation that may be causing them issues. This could be anything from not having an adjustable chair, to experiencing headaches or back pain on a regular basis.
When your WorkRite system is first set up, your Account Manager will go through with you which of these questions within the assessment you want to be set the answers as Open Issues when a user answers them in a certain way.
Any answers can be set as Open or Closed. (To see information on how to view and update Open Issues, please click here). An example of a question where you might set the answer as an Open Issue is:
"Do you have enough space on your desk surface for the work activities you perform?". This can be set so that if the user answers Yes then the issue is Closed as the user has not identified an issue with their desk space, but if the user answers No that they do not have enough desk space, this can be left as an Open Issue which can be investigated further. The investigation can be as simple as providing recommendations for the user which in this case could be removing any unnecessary clutter from the desk space, to providing the user with physical equipment.
It is up to you who within your organisation is contacted regarding any Open Issues users may have

When you view your course summary screen you may see the red speech bubble icon below which when you hover over will state "Open Issues - 6 of 17 to be Completed". You do not need to do anything yourself with this icon. It serves as a notification that your line Manager or a member of your Health and Safety team needs to follow up on something that is causing you an issue with your work station, whether this is providing you with recommended actions to take, or equipment to help make your workstation more suitable.
If there are no actions that need to be followed up, this icon will show as 0/17.
As long as the first 3 icons on the course have green ticks next to them confirming you have completed the training modules, test and assessment, there is no further action for you to take.
Other courses you might see this symbol on are AssessRite 3.0, and Agile Working, Coronavirus - Back to Work and Driver Safety Awareness.
